Cave Creek's Annexation and Development Plans

Cave Creek will do more than preserve 4,300 acres of pristine desert if it annexes 8.8 square miles of mostly Arizona trust land.

The annexation would protect some of the Northeast Valley's most prized possessions, from the historic trails of Go John Canyon to the Saguaro-studded summit of Apache Peak.

Montevista is opened for viewing

Well known Pennsylvania's builder - the Toll Brothers, has opened Montevista, a master-planned home community at 56th Street and Dixileta Drive in Cave Creek. Five on-site models are open for viewing.

Cave Creek to Annex 4,000 Acres of Land

Cave Creek is in the final stages of a landmark annexation that would set aside more than 4,000 acres of untouched desert for preservation, and out of the hands of developers.

The Cave Creek Town Council voted 7-0 this week in favor of development agreements with the Arizona State Land Department for the 8.8-square-mile annexation of mostly state trust land.

Officials predict it could finalize by this summer.

At a Town Council meeting Monday, council members praised town and state officials for the deal, which has been six years in the making.
